“Extra’s” Renee Bargh caught up with John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston at the Wynn in Las Vegas over the weekend, where they were raising money for the Heroes Health Fund, a program helping thousands of EMTs, policemen and firefighters rid their bodies of toxins.
Travolta explained he was inspired after his experience in the film “Ladder 49.” The actor said, “First responders are exposed to a lot of toxins and poisons… whether its policemen with meth labs or firefighters with the chemicals they use. This detox program basically allows you to sweat those out of the fatty tissue in the body.”

With the support of the entertainment and media industries, the American Heart Association is turning the country red.
On Friday, February 1, the American Heart Association celebrates the 10th Annual National Wear Red Day. Over 100 TV programs, anchors, hosts and talent will be going red and taking a stand against heart disease throughout the day.
The groundbreaking movement Go Red for Women is committed to ending heart disease in women.

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz, along with Aéropostale and DoSomething.org, hosted the 6th Annual “Teens for Jeans” Event at Palihouse in Los Angeles.
The event kicked off the 2013 Teens for Jeans program where, from January 14th to February 10th, teens are encouraged to drop off any pair of jeans to Aéropostale, which will be donated to a shelter for homeless teens in that community.
Chloë talked about why she supports the cause, and her upcoming movies, “Carrie” and “Kick-Ass 2.”
