"Extra's" Terri Seymour stopped by the set of "Grey's Anatomy" to chat with the show's newest addition, Scott Foley, about his character -- a patient with no health insurance and a growing tumor.

Mayhem, murder and marriage? That's all in a day's work on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" as the show gears up for another drama-filled season.

The highly charged season finale, in which an armed man shoots up the hospital, left fans reeling. Entertainment Weekly's Jennifer Armstrong gave "Extra" some juicy tidbits on how everyone at Seattle Grace is handling the aftermath.

Since she left "Grey's Anatomy," Katherine Heigl tells "Extra's" Jerry Penacoli that it's hard for her to watch the show.

"I feel really outta the loop. There was a time when I knew the storylines before they aired and there was a time when I was present in these scenes or these storylines -- and Alex moving on is very difficult for me," said Heigl.

The actress also tells Jerry that she's a little jealous and feels like she's "missing the party." "I kinda had to just take a step back... The beauty is I can always buy the season on iTunes, when I feel there's enough distance," Katherine said while laughing.

Fans of the hit TV show "Grey's Anatomy" are reeling over Thursday night's intense finale, in which the death toll was high and many characters experienced extreme trauma.

Series creator Shonda Rhimes knew she'd be defending her choices. "When I pitched this finale at the beginning of Season 6 (those of you who know me, know that I pitch the end of the season first and we work towards it), when I pitched a gunman shooting up the hospital, it seemed fine," Rhimes wrote on the "Grey's Anatomy" blog. "Really it did. And then 20 or so episodes later, I started to write it and it did not seem fine. It did not seem fine at all. On an almost daily basis, I would come into work and throw myself down on the sofa in the middle of the office and burst into tears."

"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo may be following in former co-star Katherine Heigl's footsteps by saying goodbye to the hit ABC show.

"I haven't said I'm moving on," Pompeo admits to "Extra." "I said that when my contract is up after Season 8 [in two years], I would probably not renew. I think the world has had a lot of Meredith Grey."

According to "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey, no one can take Katherine Heigl's place on the popular show.

"Extra" caught up with the TV doc at the Long Beach Toyota Grand Prix on Saturday, where as one of the celebrity drivers, he went from McDreamy to McSpeedy at 150 miles per hour!
