At this year's TIME Magazine 100 Gala in New York City Tuesday night, Blake Lively showed up with flowing red hair that stood out against her green Zuhair Murad dress. The "Gossip Girls" star ditched her blonde locks for a reddish hue for her role in next year's comedy/drama film, "Hick."
Lively told People, "I thought my character needed red hair. It helps when you're playing a role, when I don't feel like myself. And I don't really like myself with red hair."
The season four premiere of "Gossip Girl" airs tonight on the CW at 9:00 PM PDT -- and it's sure to be filled with all the drama and sexuality that keeps its viewers coming back for more.

Meanwhile, back at The Box, Reed arrived with beau Paris Latsis.
"They were whispering into each other's ear and Paris kept leaning over the balcony to check out the fans below," a witness tells "Extra."
Kellan Lutz had an easier time getting into this party. The actor "rolled up with friends and some female models and seemed to be the most energetic of the crew. He was chatting and bopping to the music with Ashley Greene, who came with girlfriends."
"Gossip Girl" couple Ed Westwick and Jessica Szhor arrived around midnight, where they hung out with Ashley Greene.
"Jessica seemed exhausted and wasn't as into the party while Ed was walking around chatting with people and drinking champagne," the witness tells "Extra."
Fergie "made a low-key entrance around midnight after the Victoria's Secret fashion show, followed by [Black Eyed Peas band-mate] Taboo, and the two went to a VIP table that was blocked off by bodyguards," adds the insider.
Fierce fashion statement!
"Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester performed for the crowd at the American Eagle Outfitters Flagship Store opening party in Times Square on Tuesday.
At the event, Meester told MTV News she has been collaborating with Lil Wayne for her upcoming album. "I met [Wayne] a few months ago, and he's honestly... I don't even know if he'll want people to know that he's incredibly polite and respectful."
The actress and rapper teamed up for the track "Make It Rain." Meester added, "He's so talented and very funny. And really optimistic, and super supportive of me, which I've really, really appreciated so much."
