How Robin Thicke Tried to Save His Marriage to Paula Patton
TMZ reports that Thicke rushed to be by her side after she told him it was over. He cancelled his Atlanta show on Friday and hopped a plane to Vancouver where Patton was filming a new movie.
The site says the pair sat down for a face-to-face chat about their relationship. Both left very upset, with Robin accepting that their eight-year marriage was over.
Thicke then cancelled his Orlando concert to spend time with their 3-year-old son, Julian.
On Monday, the couple released a statement to People, saying the decision was mutual.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
The split comes months after Robin's twerktastic VMAs performance with Miley Cyrus. To make matters worse, a photo of Robin grabbing socialite Lana Scolaro's backside went viral after the awards show.

Robin and Paula met in high school, wed in 2005, and welcomed son Julian in 2010.
