Demi Moore Files for Divorce from Ashton Kutcher
Actress Demi Moore is one step closer to divorcing Ashton Kutcher, after filing papers in Los Angeles on Thursday. The former couple split more than a year ago, and Kutcher officially filed for divorce in December. Both cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending the six-year marriage.
Demi, 50, is seeking spousal support from her “Two and a Half Men” ex, who reportedly earns $24 million per year. She would also like the 35-year-old to pay her attorney fees
On Wednesday, the New York Post reported that Demi tried to reach a private settlement with Ashton and now “she has had enough.”
A source told the paper, “Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi -- a lot more than she made -- but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn’t owe her that much.”
The insider added, "Demi is definitely ready to move on. It’s hoped lawyers for both sides can reach a settlement this spring. Otherwise, the divorce will go into litigation and trial.”
The stars have moved on romantically. Ashton is dating fellow “That ‘70s Show” alum Mila Kunis, while Demi was recently linked to Harry Morton, according to People.
