Funeral and memorial plans are now taking shape for country star Mindy McCready, who committed suicide on Sunday.

The singer’s family will remember her at a private funeral service on Feb. 26 at Crossroads Church in Fort Myers, FL, however, burial arrangements have not been finalized.

Friends and others from the music industry have organized a March 6 memorial for Mindy at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville. More details will follow.

McCready’s death has been confirmed as a suicide from a single gunshot wound, according to preliminary autopsy results released by the Arkansas Crime Lab.

The 37-year-old country star was found dead on the front porch of her Heber Springs, Arkansas home, just a few weeks after her boyfriend, David Wilson, died in the same spot.

What a shame. Listening to the last song she recorded, "I'll See You Yesterday," she still had "it." She didn't ravage her voice w/ chronic drug use, like Whitney Houston. She was just mentally ill... a horrid waste. Prayers for her two little boys.
