Singer Chris Brown briefly returned to a Los Angeles courtroom to face probation issues stemming from allegations that he lied about completing his community service for his 2009 assault conviction.

Rihanna accompanied Brown Wednesday afternoon and blew a kiss to him as he went into the courtroom. They also left together after the brief proceeding.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles County prosecutors filed court documents which accuse Brown of failing to complete his court-ordered community service and questioned whether documents submitted as proof of his service were “fraudulent.”

Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, filed an opposition shortly before the hearing, and Superior Court Judge James Brandlin set a new hearing date for April 5.
