Steve Harvey Breakdown: Comedian Weeps Over Birthday Wishes

Daytime TV host Steve Harvey became emotional when a surprise guest called in to wish Harvey a happy 56th during a taping of “The Steve Harvey Show” birthday special this week.

The call was from Rich Liss, who, along with his wife Becky, helped get Harvey on his feet when he was a struggling comedian running a carpet cleaning business.

Harvey was overcome with emotion as he heard Liss’ voice. Watch.

"I was struggling," Harvey later explained. "I didn't have nothing. And these people took me in."
