Beyoncé Backlash: Stars React to Lipsynch Stink

Did Beyoncé lipsynch the National Anthem at President Obama’s Inauguration ceremony on Monday? The backlash is hitting a fever pitch, one day after the Marine Corps Band claimed Bey sang along with a prerecorded track.

So far, the “Single Ladies” singer isn’t responding to the brouhaha, and Hollywood is already over the whole thing.
Katy Perry told reporters, “She didn’t lipsynch,” while Piers Morgan tweeted, “Half the world’s starving folks, get over it.”
Anderson Cooper reacted with a “big star-spangled so what???”
Jennifer Lopez reminded Jon Stewart that this isn’t the first time the “Star Spangled Banner” has supposedly been lipsynched, pointing out that Whitney Houston’s famous Super Bowl rendition was pre-recorded in 1991 (Houston’s former music director Ricky Minor confirmed the rumor to ABC News after her death).
While much of the focus is on Beyoncé’s performance, Lady Gaga has also been in the spotlight. The “Born this Way” singer invaded D.C. Tuesday night with Tony Bennett for the President’s inaugural staff ball.

I personally don't realy care whether Beyonce lip synched or not. I do enjoy reading the comments though. I am very suprised at the lack of ability of many people to actually write a thought down without sounding illiterate. It is sad to me that their is such a lack of education and lack of ability to write a proper sentence. This is one of the many problems with our nation.
i don't care if beyonce was lip sync we all know what she can do, they said if the weather was to cold it's a problem with yo voice when singing, i'm sure any body will protect there voice to any extreme so stop gossiping because beyonce is going be loved regardless, and it seems gossipers don't have nothing positive to do except gossip, get a life snd stop worrying abount beyonce because she sure as hell not worrying what u think, and if the president was okay with it who are u to judge.

This sums up my feelings on the Beyonce lip-syncing controversy: She should be ashamed. Next to Benghazi, Beyonce's lip-syncing was the worst tragedy since 9/11. If I had been president, I would have relieved her of her post. There are other singers that would have jumped at the chance to perform live to respect our Nation. Shame on her!
Beyonce' CAN sing live. I have seen and heard her do it on the Destiny's Child "Farwell Tour". She sang "Dangerous in Love" and she got really involved in making it even more dramatic than the album.
But in some places, they do pre-record, because like the Backstreet Boys did for Old Navy, but if it they have a choice, they try to do it as live as they can or do it as a foursome if they have to if one of them is sick or has vocal issues.
BTW, Go J.LO! Still think YOU ROCK and are an awesomely amazing actress!:D WOMAN POWER!
It was just a matter of time before the HATER NATION showed up to criticize Beyonce for something they will Never be invited to do. If she did lip sync the individuals who were overseeing this event ok'd and allowed it. Some of you people are so jealous and hateful because you can't have something or be someone famous. The moment a controversy gets in the media you weigh in with no real facts. My question to all of the ones who are hating... did you get invited to sing for the president since you think you have a right to judge? Does hearing the national anthem being sang live do anything to change your life. Stop acting like your so patriotic that it matters so much to you. Get over it already she is human just like you..well not like you haters she has no reason to hate.. SHE is RICH, BEAUTIFUL and FAMOUS.....

I have never heard her sing live or acapella; I guess she'll just need to show up somewhere at a well-attended public function and belt out an impromptu knock-down drag-out version of some other ballad the public's wild about to get folks to stop ragging on her.

Do YOU know all four verses of the Star-Spangled Banner, not to mention the fifth verse added by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., after the start of the Civil War? Most people can't even get past verse 2 of Yankee Doodle. Beyonce didn't know the words - she figured she didn't have to learn them, because she has never had to learn anything, beyond grooming and keeping her figure.
I've been reading comments about Beyonce all day and I must say the stars who are commenting and saying that it ok to do it don't have quality vocal abilities themselves, Michelle Williams from Destiny Child, Steve Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, so far I haven't read anything as to what the real singers from back in the day think, so Gladys, Aretha and Dionne, Stephanie Mills what do you all think ? Would it have even been a consideration to begin with? We sure miss you Michael Jackson, we have no more entertainers.
