“Extra’s” Mario Lopez caught up with new “American Idol” judge Keith Urban and wife Nicole Kidman at the Golden Globes, where the singing star dished on the upcoming season.

Keith admitted, “Yeah, I thought it would be crazy, insane, fun… putting the fun back in dysfunction. It's completely all those things and we’ve got some killer singers, that’s the big thing about this year.”

Nicole said she will “absolutely” be at show tapings this season and added, “I’m looking forward to the live shows, I haven't been able to see anything yet.”

“American Idol” premieres Wednesday, January 16 on FOX.

Every year they say they have best singers to try to reel you in. Its the same old show with more egotistical judges every year. None of the new judges or their famous spouses will get me to watch. They should have brought Paual Abdul back and a third judge, but none of the above.
