Miss New York Mallory Hagan is the new Miss America! The Brooklyn resident tap-danced her way to victory at the Las Vegas pageant on Saturday (check out the photos below).

Hagan bested runner up Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers and third place winner Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton with her dance routine to James Brown’s “Get Up Offa That Thing” and answering questions about school safety.

The 23-year-old beauty took home a $50,000 scholarship and is expected to spend the year raising awareness and money for Children’s Miracle Network.
