George Lucas Engaged to Longtime GF Mellody Hobson

"Star Wars" guru George Lucas and his girlfriend of seven years, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, are finally tying the knot, reports HuffPost Celebrity.

Hobson helms the $3-billion Chicago-based investment firm Ariel Investments LLC, and is a regular financial contributor to "Good Morning America."

This will be the second marriage for Lucas, 68, and the first for Hobson, 43.

Lucas recently made headlines for selling Lucasfilm to Disney for $4 billion, and then donating that money to an education foundation.

“For 41 years, the majority of my time and money has been put into the company,” Lucas said of his donation. “As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy.”
