Zoe Saldana on Spock Romance: I Could Lose a Kidney Over Spoilers
Actress Zoe Saldan isn’t giving up any tidbits about the budding romance between her character, Nyota Uhuru, and Spock (Zachary Quinto), in the new movie “Star Trek into Darkness.”
She told “Extra’s” Ben Lyons, “Whether they are together or not that will remain to be seen. But come on, I'm not going to ruin the element of surprise! I signed papers, trust me! I will lose a kidney if I say too much!”
Saldana’s co-stars, Chris Pine and Quinto, were also careful not to reveal specifics, but Zach did say, “Even though you think you can imagine how big it's going to be when you're shooting it, it never quite translates to how staggering it is on the big screen.”
Chris added, “I suppose I feel more pressure with this one,” and Zachary added, “Kirk really earns his leadership. Spock really earns the understanding of friendship.”
“Star Trek into Darkness” lands in theaters May 17.

The relationship between Uhuru and Spock was definitely one of the most interesting parts of the new Star Trek movies. It showed how different this Spock was from the previous one, and how the different timelines changed everything. A coworker at DISH and I have been discussing the few spoilers revealed, and we think that this change seems to really be translated into this new movie. The wait for it to premiere has been torturous, to cope; I’ve been re-watching all of the Star Trek movies using Blockbuster @Home. It helps that I can just put the movies on my cue and get them delivered quickly in the mail. But the added bonus, is that if that is too long of a wait, I have unlimited exchanges in a Blockbuster store. This new movie sounds incredible so far, I can’t wait to see how everything changes for the Star Fleet this time around.
