Singer Janet Jackson, 46, and her boyfriend of two years, Wissam Al Mana, 37, are engaged, reports Us Weekly.

The nuptials, set for spring in Qatar, "will cost millions," revealed a second insider. "He's flying in all of Janet's friends and family on private jets."
The Nutrisystem spokeswoman, who split from rapper Jermaine Dupri in 2009, is eager to make it official. "She wants kids," said the Jackson source. "If she can't have them, she will adopt."
Janet herself is said to be worth in the area of $150 million.

I don't see it lasting....sad but the reality is she is much older and they come from different cultures which normally is difficult to begin with. I am so pessimistic about it but it's her life and she has her reasons for marrying.

I love Janet Jackson but I hope this guy is from Qatar like the news claims, and not from other Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia, but United Arab Emirates is not so bad, but believe me, WOMEN ARE CONSIDERED 3RD CLASS CITIZENS IN MANY OF THESE MUSLIM COUNTRIES. I only just got back from teaching University level English in Dubai and then in Saudi Arabia. The people in Saudi Arabia are really nasty and many American women married the rich Prince from the Middle East who were getting educated in US and when they finally returned to their homeland in the Middle East, suddenly,their ankles and they were also pushed in the background where they had to have many sons and cook and live like a sex slave! Also, their religious police called Matawa follows the women around and if their ankles or lower arms are exposed,this older religious police hits them on their legs with a big, thick pole that he carries around. Qatar is very modern but then women married to Muslims have to convert and still dress conservatively! I HOPE AND WISH THAT JANET ENDS UP LIVING HERE IN THE USA AND NOT IN THE MIDDLE EAST!!! Furthermore, these American women had children with these men and when some of these women broke up with these guys, they had to return to USA without their kids as kids are the man's property in these countries and they automatically go to the father according to their laws out there. So, just be cautioned Janet as this is always nice to know. It is not all honeymoon and you are not treated like a Queen or a celebrity out there! You have no say and there is hardly anything to do in these countries. It is mostly dirty desert with dirty men walking around following the women and in many cases, grabbing the women's butts!

I have always known that Janet is wealthy and didn't need her brothers money, nor does she need her fiancé money. It amazes me that everyone believes what the media prints and says. I have come to not trust the press especially when they are jocking for the headlines to get to a story first. I have heard them say and do many things that are not true many times.
Perfect example with the tragic shootings in Newtown, the police were saying they would not release the killers name right away, but on at least 2 of the networks they were printing the name of the brother. How cruel is that to print and say on the airway a name that was innocent that the police hadn't even released.
Janet said only god would make her marry. I don't think it's god but Ben Franklin. Women want dudes with money. All those other dudes where broke and Joseph types. With this one he may change her religion but all those Jacksons are crazy with that and they act like they never heard of self. She's getting into something in another country where when women disrespect, its murder. But for now, nothing says I love like cash.
