Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston and Others 'Demand a Plan' for Gun Control
Hollywood is demanding a plan for gun control. Stars like Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and others went to Smashbox Studios in L.A. and Steiner Studios in Brooklyn to appear in a new 90-second PSA to help put an end to gun violence.
The “Demand a Plan” grassroots campaign began in July after James Holmes’ shooting rampage in an Aurora, Colo. movie theater. The tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday has again put the spotlight on guns. This piece came together organically in a matter of days and the production had the help of directors Jay Roach and Jesse Peretz."Extra" has learned, through sources close to the production, when the talent was asked to participate they all quickly responded, "When and where?"
In the video, the celebrities ask, "How many more? How many more colleges? How many more classrooms? How many more movie theaters? How many more houses of faith?"
Demand a Plan, launched by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, hopes to prevent future tragedies by requiring criminal background checks, banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines, and by making gun trafficking a federal crime. The group has collected over 700,000 petition signatures for the cause.

Beyonce, before you say anything to the American people...take a look at your husband. He's a poster boy for gun control...and possibly birth control.

You want my two cents on gun control? Well here it is. Allow the military and police to have the ammunition for these weapons, and no one else. Soon these idiots will run out of ammo and they. Won't be able to get anymore. Right? Right!
Jared, I see your point of view, but the proliferation of guns in our society is killing people. Our murder rate is so many times that of any comparable first world nation that it's a joke. It's not even close. "Gun Culture" is killing our kids and it's time for us to get serious about guns in society. Why we would allow these assault weapons to be so easily gotten is well beyond human comprehension?
Aren't cocaine and pot illegal too? More laws to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens will not keep guns out of the hands of those who obtain them illegally. As a retired Army Vet, I completely agree with gun laws and following them, but at what point do you look at society instead of regulator laws?
