Miss Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin, will be paying a hefty price for her accusations last summer that claimed the Miss USA pageant was rigged.
The former beauty queen resigned from the contest when she didn’t make the top 15 and then took to Facebook to bash the pageant, saying it was fixed.Donald Trump’s Miss Universe Organization filed a defamation suit and won, requiring Monnin to pay $5 million in damages.
Following the announcement on Tuesday, Trump told “Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli, “She said terrible things and they were untrue. We have Ernst and Young and everything is tabulated very accurately. What she said was just ridiculous. So we brought a suit and we won $5 million.”
He added, “She was a very disgruntled person, I don’t know how she could have said it, but she said it and now she has to pay a very big price.”
