Brad Pitt on Engagement, Wedding Plans and 'Killing Them Softly'

November 26, 2012 The A List
“Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli sat down with Brad Pitt to dish about his role as a mob hit man in the thriller “Killing Them Softly” and about his and Angelina Jolie’s future wedding plans.

Penacoli congratulated Pitt on his engagement to Jolie and asked, “You always said you wouldn’t get married until everyone had the same rights, so is this going to be a long engagement?” Brad replied, “I don’t know, we’re making great strides. I will admit we have had some pressure from our kids. We didn’t realize how much it means to them, and in getting engaged, we didn’t realize how much it means to ourselves.”

As far as a wedding date, Brad said nothing has been set but joked with Jerry that when they do set a date, they will call him.

Pitt said he was excited about playing a hit man in “Killing Them Softly,” explaining he hammered out the deal in 30 minutes after writer/director Andrew Dominik texted messaged him. The actor said, “He texted me that he had a story idea. We sat down on the patio and laid it out in 30 minutes, He said, ‘You have to say yes… today.’” Brad not only said yes, but he also signed on as a producer of the film.

“Killing Them Softly” lands in theaters this Friday.
