Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band Rocks Out for the Troops

November 07, 2012 As Seen On Extra

Actor Gary Sinise and his group, Lt. Dan Band, recently put on a special show in San Diego for wounded troops.

“Extra” special correspondent Robert Irvine caught up with the star to find out how he got involved in the cause. “These are our defenders, our freedom providers,” Sinise explained.

He added, “I have veterans in my family and then I got involved with the disabled American veterans back when I played one in ‘Forest Gump.’ They contacted me, that was 18 years ago and I stayed very actively involved.”
