Bobbi Kristina Wins Fight for Whitney Houston’s $20 Million

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown will receive her mother's estate money – around $20 million – as the singer intended. Bobbi’s grandmother, gospel singer Cissy Houston and Aunt Pat filed a petition to change the existing payment plan, but have since dropped it, says TMZ.

The site reports that Bobbi and Cissy were able to come to an agreement and that the current version of the schedule will remain the same. As it stands, BK will receive three lump sums – 10% at 21, 20% at 25 and the balance at 30.

Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother and aunt originally considered the plan “too much too soon” for the 19-year-old and viewed her as a “highly visible target” for anyone trying to gain access to the funds. They also wanted to “protect her from herself.”
Pat and Cissy did not lay out the changes they hoped to see in the will, but did note in the petition that Whitney wanted to “provide long-term financial security and protection” for Bobbi.

The family, including BK and fiancé Nick Gordon, appear together on the Lifetime reality show “The Houstons: On Our Own.”

Bobbi Kristina is much too young and she's been through far to much in such a short period of time. I agree her inheritance should be handled by people with no monetary interest in her fortune, she's only 19. she's engaged far too young, Bobbi Kristina should have a stipulation that she attend and finish at least a 4 year college degree program, that she wait until she completes college before she gets married, then she can inherit her Mom's fortune, but not at one time, 1/3 after completion of college, if she still chooses to marry, a really good pre-nup (her husband agrees not to get any part of her money), 5 years after college and/or marriage, she gets another 3rd, when she's 30 she gets the remaining 3rd. Also some grief counseling by a really good therapist.

"Remaining ($$) at 30" that gives her an incentive..... and once she receives it..she (and her entourage) will burn right through it. She will be down and out at 40 a has been and depressed and dead soon after... greedy little gal... should have listened to the wise (grandma and auntie).
