Lark Voorhies is calling reports that she is bipolar “comical.” The “Saved by the Bell” star, who played Lisa Turtle on the Saturday morning show, told TMZ she is “not in agreement” with the story People published about her mental illness diagnosis.

Although the actress struggles through the interview, often pausing for long periods, she told the reporter, “I think [the People claims are] quite comical… beautiful pictures though, don’t you think?” She ended the conversation on a positive note, saying, “expression is a beautiful thing and we’ll just take the good from that.”

Reports that she was sick began with her mother, Tricia, who told People that finding the right treatment and getting her daughter to cooperate has been “frustrating.” “I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life,” she said.

Lark shocked fans when she appeared on the web series “The Yo Show” last spring. Her entire appearance had changed, including dyed red hair and heavy makeup.
