Jessica Simpson's Parents File for Divorce

Tina and “Papa Joe” Simpson, parents to Jessica and Ashlee, are getting a divorce.

Tina, 52, filed for divorce in McLennan County, Texas, in September, reports RadarOnline, and the docs cites “discord or conflict of personalities” as grounds for the marital dissolution.

Tabloid reports say the split stems from rumors that Joe allegedly came out of the closet, but their rep released this statement to People.com. "It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Last week, Tina and Joe put their “storybook” country English mansion in Encino on the market for $4.3 million.
