Actress Lindsay Lohan reportedly wants an order of protection against father Michael. Sources tell TMZ that her dad’s “intervention” attempt was the last straw. Now, LiLo will be heading to NYC to meet with family and decide the best way to proceed.

Michael showed up at Lindsay’s Beverly Hills home with the cops on Friday to hold an emergency intervention because he heard she was missing work and was afraid she had fallen off the wagon.

The “Liz and Dick” star’s “boyfriend” shooed them away, telling TMZ that her father will not solve Lindsay’s problems.

Lohan’s mother told “Extra” in a statement, “This sole act by my ex was not an intervention nor was this extreme antic sanctioned by any member of Lindsay's family or her professional team of handlers. It's all about her father obsessed with making a name for himself in the news once again."

A tweet by “The Canyons” director Bret Easton Ellis may have started it all.  Referring to his “American Psycho” screenplay, he wrote, "Patrick Bateman has just headed over to Lindsay Lohan's hotel to confront her as to why she missed her f--king ADR on 'The Canyons' today..."

Lindsay’s rep told E! News the post-production work had been rescheduled and “Canyons” producer Braxton Pope explained, "Lindsay has been busy doing press for ‘Liz & Dick.’ Bret was jesting since he was going to the Chateau [Marmont] that night. Inside joke between us all that has been misconstrued."

Lindsay is not afraid of her father. She's afraid of change and being exposed.
