Justin Bieber's Stolen Laptop Prank

October 12, 2012 Music
The whole anonymous blogger threatening to expose incriminating video of Justin Bieber from a stolen laptop was indeed just a stunt to promote Bieber’s new music video, “Beauty and the Beat.”

The laptop was reported stolen on Tuesday and then an unidentified person using the Twitter name @gexwy started posted threatening tweets to Bieber, saying he/she would reveal the video on Friday at noon. And voila! Here it is…

Today, Bieber tweeted his reason for the prank. “since i was 14 i have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family... to saying i had a baby with a woman i never even met. nude pics, drugs, my family, my character...but today...today i get to be in on it...”

UPDATE: Bieber's rep said the laptop was indeed stolen at a concert in Washington state, reports AP. The authorities said a report was filed but they didn't expect to spend much time investigating.
