'The Houstons': Bobbi Kristina and Family Clash Over Nick Gordon

Whitney Houston’s family is opening up about life without the superstar in the new Lifetime reality series, “The Houstons: On Our Own.”

“I didn’t see her as an idol,” says daughter Bobbi Kristina in a new promo. “The glam and glitz -- I didn’t see that. I saw a mom.”

According to the new clip, Bobbi and “brother” Nick Gordon’s relationship will be a hot topic this season. In one scene Aunt Patricia calls the couple’s engagement “unacceptable,” while Nick claims “the family has me out to be a bad person.” Bobbi knows “they want to see us fail,” but is confident they won’t.

Tune in to Lifetime at 9 PM on Oct. 24 to watch the premiere.
