‘Dancing with the Stars’: Paula Abdul ‘Excited’ to Join as Guest Judge

Paula Abdul is returning to television next week as a guest judge on “Dancing with the Stars.” “Extra’s” Renee Bargh caught up with the singer and dancer to find out about the gig.

“I've been a fan forever,” Paula explained. “When I was on the ‘American Idol’ stage next door I would sneak-in between commercial breaks.”

Abdul doesn’t plan to join the “DWTS” panel full-time. “Nah, we're not talking about that. I'm coming on to just enjoy myself and pay homage to a wonderful show,” she said.

When the conversation turned to “American Idol” and the feud between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, Abdul said, “I don't know what to think. I don't even know if that exists. But it keeps everyone interested.”
