Oprah Reacts to Rihanna and Chris Brown Romance Rumors

October 05, 2012 Couples News
“Extra” caught up with Oprah Winfrey on Friday in Houston and asked her about the recent reports saying Rihanna has rekindled her relationship with Chris Brown.

Oprah wasn't sure if the reconciliation rumors were true, but she supports the “We Found Love” singer and her own life decisions. “I think that if she is prepared to deal with that and is prepared to help him help himself then so be it. I have no judgment about it. That’s why I can sit there and have such a great time with her because I do all my interviews with no judgment whatsoever. If that’s how you choose to lead your life, that's really okay.”

In Winfrey’s exclusive one-on-one interview with Rihanna last month, the singer opened up for the first time about her troubled relationship with rapper Brown. Oprah explained, “You know what I loved about that interview is that she came with a big wide open heart. She was in the space of forgiveness. And that she learned a lesson that she was repeating with Chris Brown -- exactly what she needed to learn from her father."

Winfrey was in Houston filming the premiere of "Oprah's Life Class" with Pastor Joel Osteen. Tune in to OWN at 9 PM on Oct. 28 to watch the pair discuss how to make the best of our everyday circumstances.

I agree with so many people:SHAME ON OPRAH. How irresponsible for her to condone this behavior. She is no better that that fame whore Wendy Williams. I can't wait to hear what either one of them say when Rhianna ends up like Nicole Simpson. And ir will happen that Chris Brown is a ticking time bomb. People like Oprah should show some backbone and come out againist this instead of saying poor Chris Brown he made a mistake. Rhianna knows how to HELP him. GIVE ME A BREAK!Oprah is just like Wendy Williams: all about ratings . You are sending the wrong message Oprah. SHANE ON YOU!

Oprah is NOT giving her blessing or approval or anything of the sort. What Oprah is saying is, she does not give a damn anymore. Oprah is totally against domestic violence. She feels the way the rest of us feel. "Hey if that's what they want to do, then so be it." What - everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

to call oprah a hypocrite...when she's basically saying she doesn't give a damn anymore like most of the people are also saying....this situation effects rihanna and chris brown only...always have always will...it doesnt change how we sleep at night or live our everyday life so who gives a damn what they do...this was a hot topic back in 2009 when it first happened but eventually even oprah has to let it go

I don't normally comment but Oprah is a hypocrite. When this all went down in 2009 she did a whole segment on domestic violence and then looked into the camera and said "i'm speaking to rihann. if he hit you once he will hit you again". now she's okay with it because her network is struggling and she needs the ratings. period. she's not going to say anything to upset rihanna's crazy navy fans because she needs that younger market to keep ratings up. disappointed
