Hey Mitt! You can be aggressive as you like, it does not make you right. Obama didn't need a haircut. It has been and continues to be a Republican fantasy that somehow Obama is not a truthful and capable man.

The facts, plainly evident to what I would call the right thinking majority of Americans is that Romney is less than honest. At the very least his memory is severely challenged from one day to the next. Or worse, he is a serial liar who does not understand the digital age, where everything you say to every interest group is recorded.

Spin? Yes, and more. Romney is a whirling dervish of inconsistency. And a hurricane of "its Obama's fault, he's no good" zingers. These zingers, to me, and I think to Americans watching, searching for truth, are boomerangs. Firing Big Bird was another mistake for Mitt; he thinks it shows he is tough. He's just a bully. Indeed, if Big Bird is fired, my daughter has offered him a place at our house. Free.

Obama did what a good leader does and he listened and he tried to relate where it made sense and respond where arguments were made of substance. It was hard to engage. He could have taken any of many different instances, all of which have been repeatedly pointed out by the pundits and commentators. However, his instinct in a debate is different than it is in say war. He is not going for the jugular of those who oppose his views in this free and democratic country. He is looking for arguments of sense and reason. When he is dealing with the bin Ladens of the world, he goes for the jugular.

I am not going to call Mitt a liar, I will leave whether he is up to the voters. I will say that Mitt has defined a new form of honesty. It's called Mittonnesty. Yes, with two nn's as in Pinocchio.

What is really needed here, right now, to get America out of the mire that Bush built, is a strong mandate for Obama. With tremendous sway if not control of Congress. That's what is needed.
