How to Make Your Fall Mani Last!

September 29, 2012 Health & Beauty

Ashlie Johnson, Chanel’s Celebrity Manicurist, is dishing on some serious manicure tips (no pun intended) only for “Extra” viewers.

Johnson’s main advice? Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! “When your hands are dry, that’s when you get hangnails, that’s when your nails start to peel more easily.” She recommends Body Excellence by Chanel, because “it moisturizes the cuticles and the hands and it doesn’t feel too greasy.”

Johnson also recommends reapplying a top coat to your nails after three days, which she says will help your manicure last a good two weeks. She also says it’s best to make sure all the oils are off your nails before you apply polish. A little remover or even rubbing alcohol should do the job.
