In honor of late astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man to step foot on the moon, we are looking back at some of Hollywood’s most memorable trips to the final frontier.

Space adventures have long been a favorite among directors, from Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror flick “Alien” to Ron Howard’s critically acclaimed “Apollo 13.”
