August 09, 2012 Couples News

Power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's walk down the aisle may be closer than we think.

According to French reports, specifically, "France 3 Cote d'Azur," the two are set to tie the knot at their French chateau, Miraval, on Saturday, August 11.

Meanwhile, a local newspaper for the region near Miraval says the actors will not be saying "I do" this weekend. In a note to readers, they teased, "The marriage will not take place on the 11th, but we'll have more information tomorrow in 'Var Matin!'"

A source confirmed to X17Online the nuptials were right around the corner. "The wedding is definitely going to be soon. My brother is on the construction crew that's been remodeling Miraval, and he says the renovations are definitely for the upcoming wedding and that everything is almost finished."

The source continued, "Everyone in town is talking about it, it's common knowledge that the wedding is happening soon."

Pitt and Jolie were engaged in April 2012 after 7 years together.

Update: X17Online sent a photographer to the south of France to check out the couple's chateau, and he reported that nothing was in the works. "There are NO security guards, NO workers, NO party planners -- NOTHING at the property. As I drove around, checking out the scene from the street below the private hillside, I saw nothing out of the ordinary. It was quiet, just like the sleepy village of Correns next to it. Business as usual at Chateau Brangelina."
