Marilyn Monroe wasn't just a gorgeous sex symbol, she wasn't really a "sex symbol" she was so much more, she was sensual, she had a kind of sensuality that's never been matched also she had an innocence, a sweetness, she played the "dumb blond" but it was clear she was intelligent, she was vulnerable, she was real, approachable, she came across as very kind and gentle. I think that's why both women and men adored her and still do, she was special, unique and no actress has ever even come close to the very unique, special person she was.
