Actor Levar Burton, host of “Reading Rainbow,” believes that parents should never shy away from discussing tough subjects with their children.

He sat down with “Extra” to explain how to talk to and reassure children about the Colorado massacre, and how Reading Rainbow is a great resource to help parents.
