“Dark Knight Rises” star Christian Bale is in Colorado visiting the victims of the Aurora movie theater massacre, reports the Denver Post.

"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," said an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications.

The star of the Batman franchise told Deadline Hollywood on Saturday, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."

Total kudos and respect to Bale for taking the time to do this, on his own merit to see those who were effected. Good man who has his priorities straight.
