Video! Superman Takes Flight in 'Man of Steel' Trailer

July 22, 2012 Movies

Superman won’t be back on the big screen until Summer 2013, but fans got an early look at the “Man of Steel” when the movie trailer debuted this weekend.

The clip is dark and moody with scenes of laundry hanging on a clothesline and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) working on a fishing boat. At the end, the video offers a glimpse of Superman in all his glory, shooting into the sky and breaking the sound barrier.

Two versions of the trailer are circulating. One features narrative by his adoptive father Kevin Costner (above), while his biological father Jor-El (Russell Crowe) voices the other (below).

“300” and “Watchmen” director Zack Snyder is behind the reboot with a little help from “Dark Knight Rises” director Christopher Nolan who produced the film and co-wrote the story with David S. Goyer.

I'm already looking forward to it. I hope it'll be the best movie version yet. 2013 all of a sudden seem like a good year.
