Actor Fred Willard, best known for his roles in Christopher Guest movies like “Waiting for Guffman” and “Best in Show,” is speaking out about his arrest at an adult movie theater on lewd conduct charges on Thursday in Hollywood.

TMZ reports Willard was leaving his lawyer’s office when he told photographers it was all a "big misunderstanding" and that “It didn't happen."

Fred, with his wife by his side, said he and the cops have "a difference of opinion." He also explained "a strange situation" led him to the theater, but confirmed, "It's all being straightened out."

The funny man's rep released a statement earlier, saying, "With all do [sic] respect to the individual officer, our belief that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter."
