Adele Expecting First Child

Singing sensation Adele, 24, is expecting her first child with charity entrepreneur beau Simon Konecki, she announced Friday via her website.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," the 23-year-old "Rolling in the Deep" singer wrote. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."

A friend spoke to Us Mag about the Grammy winner's pregnancy, saying, "She's smiling in a way I haven't seen in a long time."

Adele and Konecki have been dating since January of this year and attended Adele's victorious Grammy night together the following month.

Konecki, 36, is already father to a 5-year-old daughter with ex-wife Clary Fisher.

Adele is going to be a great Mom, I hope she has a beautiful little girl who looks just like her Adele, this is wonderful, an absolute blessing, Congratulations.
