Tom Cruise to Star in ‘Top Gun’ Sequel?

Actor Tom Cruise might don his Maverick uniform once again and take flight in a new “Top Gun” sequel.

The “Rock of Ages” star told “Extra” the movie could happen “if we can figure out the script.” He’s definitely not ruling it out, adding, “I look at those airplanes and I think it would be just so much fun to shoot.”

Cruise may also reprise his role as ruthless studio executive Les Grossman in “Tropic Thunder.” “I've been thinking about Les Grossman and what to do with him and trying to figure out a script. He’s such a fun character to play.”
