Paris Jackson Reveals She's Been Bullied

June 11, 2012 Candid Confessions
Oprah Winfrey’s exclusive, one-on-one interview with Paris Jackson aired Sunday. The 14-year-old talked about her early childhood, memories of her dad, Michael Jackson (who died three years ago June 25) -- and how she has dealt with bullying.

Paris switched from homeschooling to attend high school, and encountered some bullying. "People have tried [to bully], but it doesn't always work," Paris told Oprah in the interview that aired on "Oprah's Next Chapter.” "At school… and some people try to cyberbully me. They try to get to me with words, but that doesn't really work."

When asked by Winfrey if she thought her peers were jealous, Paris said: "Maybe, I don't know."

Mostly, a very cool and poised Paris talked about her dad and how much she still thinks of him. "I just like, remember something, and I smile," the teenager said.

What kid is NOT bullied at some time in their life? Ever hear ..sticks and stones will break my bones but NAMES will NEVER hurt me!! and if the bully touched you...took your lunch money...whatever...you got your friends together and kicked the bully's butt. End of problem. Just like in a Christmas story.....the Scutt Farcus deal...end of problem.

Bullied for being a white girl, that's all it amounts to.

That article was too short. I wanted to know more. It would be nice to find out how Prince and Blanket are doing as well. Love the Christmas memory Paris shared. I kind of figured kids would try to bully her. Kids are so cruel. I was bullied a lot too and it's not fun. Hope it doesn't ruin her self-esteem like it did mine. She's a great kid.

The greatest irony of Paris' interview with Oprah is that she probably wouldn't have had to contend with all the bullying in the first place had it not been for the media's obsession with her family. Now here she is turning to the media that helped create the fracas to come clean about it all....

I know someone who goes to her school. people do not like her because she is a fake. She pretends to be something she is not. Everyone knows the truth. She is so pathetic, they laugh behind her back. If she was honest then people would give her a chance, but no one likes a blatant liar.
