Def Leppard: Tom Cruise is ‘Amazing’ in ‘Rock of Ages’

“Extra” host Mario Lopez got the inside scoop on “Rock of Ages” from none other than Def Leppard. The band stopped by The Grove to talk about the new film -- featuring Tom Cruise singing their hit song “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”

Lead singer Joe Elliott and his bandmates were in West Palm Beach, Florida when they heard that Cruise was shooting in nearby Ft. Lauderdale, so they swung by to meet him.

“Literally as we walked in, Tom Cruise is up there and he starts singing, ‘Love is like a bomb, baby, and it's like Holy.’ He's doing our song, right now!”

Tom was nervous, according to Joe, and asked how they liked it. Joe couldn’t believe Tom had only been singing for four months and told him, “You were amazing.”
