Actress Debra Messing is moving forward with divorce after separating from husband Daniel Zelman last year.

Messing’s lawyer filed divorce papers Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, reports TMZ, citing "irreconcilable differences."

According to the docs, Debra is asking for joint custody of their 8-year-old son, along with spousal and child support.

After announcing their separation, the two continued to live together. They were married in 2000.
