Halle Berry on Paparazzi Blowup: 'When It Comes to My Daughter, I'm Ferocious!'
“Extra's” Mario Lopez caught up with Halle Berry at the 2012 Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk for Women, which Halle co-hosted, and where the Oscar winner talked for the first time about her recent confrontation with paparazzi.
Berry told Mario, “I hate that I lost my cool, but you know, I'm human. That happens and when it comes to my daughter, I'm ferocious!”
The Oscar-winning actress lamented there isn’t much that can be done about this invasion of privacy. “You know, I don't know… I've been struggling for years. There are no laws here that protect our children and as a mom, coming to the school… not only my child, but all the children that are there. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong.”
Halle added, “You know, I think I'm going call Obama and say look, can you help us? I know this seems like a little issue right now. But it’s a big issue in our lives and our lives at the school and our children being protected. I think it’s really, really important.”
Berry was also pleased to be a part of the EIF/Revlon Run/Walk for Women, which raises money for cancer research. “I've lost so many people. I know people struggling right now with cancer.”

Dear Halle,
Please note that I have a few more pressing things to deal with right now, and that this is clearly a California problem. For example, people in Maine, North Dakota, Indiana, Alabama, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Kansas, Delaware, etc. - don't have that problem. Not that you'd want to live there. But since this is a State issue, please call your Governor instead of me.
Since California hasn't been able to balance a budget and is going $16B into debt despite Hollywood and Apple making bazillions (and cleverly dodging taxes by registering their businesses in Nevada), the Governor (aka "someone who is NOT me") has been busy raising taxes these past few weeks. But I'm sure that when he is done raising taxes of average Californians to support Hollywood's and Apple's tax dodging schemes, that he'll have plenty of time to take your call.
Please feel free to keep name-dropping me though - it makes you look important and me look cool. By the way, please send your campaign donation for $1M ASAP and have your 10 closest Hollywood friends do the same.
All the Best,
Barry O
Sometimes I feel bad that I support the sites that support the paparazzi. But then I remember that celebrities aren't real people anyway.
