'Idol' Results: Say Goodbye to Hollie Cavanagh

May 10, 2012 American Idol

“American Idol” contestant Hollie Cavanagh was sent home Thursday, leaving the top three finalists Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips.

One of Cavanagh’s performances Wednesday was the Bonnie Raitt song “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” which proved to be true. Watch the performance!

Randy Jackson called it "the wrong choice at the wrong time," while Jennifer Lopez told her there was "a little too much vibrato," and mentor Jimmy Iovine was the most blunt, saying Cavanagh "crashed and burned."

Lopez also performed her new song "Dance Again" with her 25-year-old beau, Casper Smart.

The remaining three will compete next week in the “American Idol” semi-finals.
