Maxwell Drew Johnson was born in Cedars-Sinai in L.A. Tuesday morning, reps confirmed to Us Weekly.

Maxwell weighed in at 9lbs., 13 ounces.

Jessica announced the happy event on her website, writing "Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl... We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!"

Simpson and Johnson were engaged in November 2011 after just six months of dating.

I am so happy for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson on the birth of their precious baby girl, Maxwell Drew, 9 pounds, 13 ounces that is a really good sized baby, I'm sure she is absolutely beautiful and Mom and Dad are doing well, I was thinking about Jessica Simpson the other day and after being over due by 9 days, I prayed this precious little angel would finally make her appearance, I am so happy and relieved for both of them.
