Kari and Dick Clark: Their Love Story

April 20, 2012 Remembered
In a rare interview from 2002, Dick Clark and wife Kari shared their 35-year love story with “Extra” -- and with each other.

Dick: “How would you describe our life together?
Kari: “Busy, one word -- very busy.”

Clark was busy building his $250-million entertainment empire with Kari by his side. They met on the job. Kari was Clark’s assistant before becoming his third wife in 1977.

Dick: “A lot of people don’t know you work with me.”
Kari: “I work for the company.”
Dick: “With me. We work side by side.”

i totally enjoyed them interviewing each other. A true love story. I loved when she said you shouldn't have to work at a marriage. Even just the happineess in their voices, the smiles on their faces, & even in their eyes told you their life story.
I just hope that ugly stories don't start coming out of the wood work.
I didn't like Shirley McClain's comment yesterday. About The Clark's dogs bothering her dogs when she walked past their house.
With all those wonderful, kind & uplifting stories that was the thing she choose to say. Unreal...
