Singer Marc Anthony filed for divorce from "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez on Monday, according to TMZ.

In the papers, Marc cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce, and asks for joint legal custody of the couple's 4-year-old twins, Emme and Max.

Marc told TMZ he does not want to pay alimony if J.Lo, who is currently dating her 25-year-old backup dancer, asks the court for it.

Anthony and Lopez, who married in 2004, announced their spit in July.

This will be Lopez's third divorce, and the second for Anthony.
