'DWTS' Performances: Top 5 Highlights from Week 2

Following what Judge Len Goodman called "the best first show of any season," the "Dancing with the Stars" contestants returned to the ballroom to perform the quickstep or the jive Monday night.

Here are some of the evening's highlights:

'DWTS' Highlights from Week 2

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough

Score: 25 pointsDance: QuickstepCarrie Ann said they showed "huge improvement." Bruno went further, telling the couple their quickstep was "nearly perfection."

Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower

Score: 26 pointsDance: Quickstep"It was young, it was fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed it," Len told the couple, who earned 26 points, including two nines. "You turned [your] swagger into sophistication," Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said.

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas

William Levy and Cheryl Burke

Score: 25Dance: Quickstep"You have the ability to dazzle," Bruno said. "You remind me of 'The Artist,' Jean Dujardin.

Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy

Score: 23Dance: Jive"I loved it!" Carrie Ann gushed, "I am in love with you! This is when confidence can take you past mistakes."
