'Extra' Video! 50 Cent on Africa, Solving Hunger, and Street King
"Extra's" Adrianna Costa spoke with rapper 50 Cent at the Nightclub & Bar Convention, who opened up about a charitable cause that fights hunger in Africa using an energy boost beverage called Street King. A single bottle, or "shot," is only 2.5 fl. oz., and with each purchase a meal is provided for a hungry child.
50 Cent explained that a trip to Africa opened his eyes to the devastating hunger crisis, and said, "I wanted to try and do something about it. The charity mirrors the Toms shoe model... it's just that people can't eat shoes. I had the opportunity to partner up with the World Food Organization. For every shot sold, a meal is being provided."
