Dick Van Dyke, 86, Marries Makeup Artist, 40

Veteran actor Dick Van Dyke, 86, has married his makeup artist, 40-year-old Arlene Silver, RumorFix.com reports.

The funnyman told RumorFix he met Silver six years ago at the SAG Awards. "I was in the green room and she passed through and I was bowled over by her beauty."

The two were married February 29. Van Dyke said, "Kinda on the spur of the moment, we just decided Leap Day would be the best time to do it."

Arlene added, "He's the happiest person I ever met. He's got an infectious spirit."

Van Dyke was married to Margerie Willett in 1948 and they had four children. They divorced in 1984 after a long separation. He also lived with longtime companion Michelle Triola Marvin for more than 30 years until her death in 2009.
