'Idol' Recap: Jessica Sanchez Wows with Whitney Houston Song

"American Idol" finalist Jessica Sanchez pushed to the top of the heap Wednesday with a powerhouse cover of the Whitney Houston song "I Will Always Love You."

The 16-year-old from San Diego received a standing ovation from judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson and the entire "Idol" audience.

On the first week with the top 13 contestants, the boys sang covers from Stevie Wonder while the girls sang Houston's greatest hits. Jimmy Iovine and guest Mary J. Blige mentored the "Idol" hopefuls. Other standouts included Joshua Ledet and Jermaine Jones.
