Janet Jackson on 'Anderson' -- Talks Drugs, Studio 54, Weight and More

February 16, 2012 Television

Singer/actress Janet Jackson sat down with Anderson Cooper on his show "Anderson" and opened up about her career, her brother Michael, her lifelong struggle with self-esteem and weight, and so much more.

In this clip from the interview, Anderson jokingly tells her, first, he wasn't sure why his mom [Gloria Vanderbilt] thought it appropriate to take him to Studio 54 at age 10 or 11. Embarrassingly, he says he didn't really know who Michael was until the next day, when he was told that Michael was Janet's sister, someone he knew well from "Good Times."

The "Anderson" interview with Janet Jackson airs Monday, February 20.
